A medium heavy coated , basic type electrode giving 25/12 deposit which has excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance in continuous service up to 1100°C. Gives a quiet and stable arc, low spatter, smooth weld bead and easily detachable slag. Welds are radiographically sound.
TYPICAL APPLICATIONS: Welding AISI 309 type, straight chrome steels, joining stainless steel to lower alloy steels and carbon steels, welding in the clad side of 18/8 clad steels. Building up steel to improve wear resistance and for building up worn out parts of wear resisting steels.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR WELDING:
• Keep electrodes dry.
• Do not exceed recommended current limit.
• Hold short arc
• Ensure good fit up on joints.
• Adopt proper sequence.
• Remove the slag with stainless steel wire brush.
• Redry electrodes at 300°C for 1hour for better results
